Dear colleagues,In 2022, the 45th Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Chemical Society (45th RASBQ) will be held in the city of Maceió - AL, from May 31 to June 3. As always, it will bring together, in a massive way, people from Brazil and abroad, including students, professors and researchers in the field of Chemistry and the like. The city of Maceió is one of the most beautiful places in Brazil, with beachy nature and excellent infrastructure to welcome visitors.The last two RASBQ were held in virtual mode due to the scenario of health insecurity resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, once again being held in person, our RASBQ returns to the Northeast, after 8 years, and for the first time it will be held in Maceió. This choice stems from the great importance of this region for the SBQ, as it houses many chemists who work in teaching and research institutions, in addition to the dense representation of Northeastern members. In this way, we hope to move the city of Maceió and its surroundings, promoting and disseminating chemistry throughout the "Brazilian Caribbean".
